I’m a member of the Regions Bank Corporate Security Department Nashville, TN Field Office. On Wednesday 2/5/20 we experienced an attempted theft of an ATM machine that resulted in it sustaining sever damage along with being dragged off Regions property and abandoned in the public roadway. Afterwards a decision was made to have the machine relocated to the Metro Nashville Impound Facility for safety and storage measures.

Due to the significate amount of currency held within the ATM it was a high priority mission for our department to recover these funds as soon as possible. I arrived at the Metro Nashville Impound Facility with the machine before 7 AM seeking assistance in obtaining proper storage for the unit. Despite the timing of my arrival, staff associates were polite, helpful and willing to assist me with my request to have the ATM stored inside a facility for protection from the weather along with being out of sight from the public.

Throughout the morning I struggled with locating a vendor who could breach the safe door on the ATM. During this time General Manager Steve Healy was present and realized the potential of this issue continuing well into the day or possibly longer. He then presented an option to me of contacting a local fire station to see if they would be willing to assist. This was an outstanding idea and Steve was able to facilitate having members of Nashville Fire Department Station 12 respond. Shortly after their arrival they were able to breach the safe.

I want to personally express my appreciation to Steve Healy and the staff members of the Metro Nashville Impound Facility for their assistance during this incident. They displayed professionalism and outstanding customer service in every interaction I had with them. It is reassuring to know that the Metro Nashville Government has a partnership with URVMS who staffs the Metro Nashville Impound Facility with employees who are so helpful and caring to the citizens of Nashville.

Having an accident is a stressful situation, obviously. The aggravation of not having my vehicle, having to take time off work and everything else associated with this matter was mitigated by two truly professional and highly competent folks on your team. Too often, people send complaints. Not often enough do people report GREAT service! First, Steve Healy was fantastic. He was able to explain things in a manner that demonstrated competence and compassion. His strong suit is definitely EMPATHY! You should be proud to have Steve working for you in his role as General Manager. Additionally, you can rest assured he takes great care of the people he comes in to contact with, some of whom have no desire to be there through no fault of their own. When the state locked the title, he was quick to communicate with them that the van had been released. When I say quick, I mean MINUTES! I would also be remiss if I didn’t mention another gentleman who helped me on my second visit to the facility late in the day. His name, I believe if memory serves me, is Cornelius. He too was competent, encouraging, professional and demonstrated great empathy with his pleasant and friendly demeanor! Again, you are fortunate to have him working with you. I just felt that as they exhibited behaviors about which you’d be proud, you should know about it! Please congratulate them with my kind thanks and regards!
